Friday
My last day in The Ritz Restaurant! Another crazy and long day of preparing the menu's for the each meal as well as booking reservations and confirming guests. A little twist to the daily routine to set up for the famous Dinner-Dance that happens every Friday and Saturday night at The Ritz. The dance floor and band were all set up while everyone rushed around setting up the tables for the fun night ahead. After finishing at 5:00 I sadly said goodbye to all the waiters and hostesses I had been working with that week. Though I will still be in the hotel I won't be spending as much time in the restaurant. After changing out of my hostess uniform for the last time I headed on a different train route to the American School of London (aka ASL) where our family friends attend school. As I made my way through their city campus I found myself in an orange and black covered basketball gym where their high school basketball teams where playing a team from Spain. It felt just like being in America! Like our family friends, the students that attend ASL are almost all born in the states but are living in England and continuing their American style schooling at ASL, which is exactly like any American high school. After both the boys and girls teams won their games we pilled in our friends Mini Cooper and headed back to their house for the night.
