Snow Day!

Wednesday morning I was up again at 6:30 AM. I jumped in the shower, threw on my clothes for work and packed my bag for the day (with my shoes ofcourse!). I pulled back the curtains to check whether I needed my rain coat or not, and what a surprise I saw. White covered everything! And it wasn't just the snow that hadn't melted from last week. There was a fresh, thick, layer of snow covering the field, trees, chairs, and cars. Before calling it an official snow day, Grandpa and I slowly drove to the train station on the icy roads to see if there was a chance trains where going out. But once we arrived at the packed train station we heard the news that there are no trains going in or out. We carefully drove home to enjoy our day in the snow. With camera in hand I set out to explore the white wonderland that lays beyond the trees in my grandparent back yard. What a sight it was to see the snow covered trees, rolling hills covered in a blanket of white, and sheep with their frozen coats. I felt like Mr. Tumnus was going to pop out any second. After I lost the feeling in my hands I went back inside to have a cup of tea and sit at the window, watching the snow fall down.
